Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

I am back in the city after having spent 2 months in Ohio.  It is good, but also so weird to be back in the city.

Regardless of how a show turns out, it makes an impact on my life.  This show was a roller coaster for me.  I had lows I had highs, but I’m glad I left the show on the latter.  Being back in the city after so long is odd because I feel like I have to re start so much of my life.  I have lived a very regular routine for the last 2 months, so its weird to change it up.

Also, when I was in Ohio I saw the same 16 faces every day.  I didn’t interact with many more than those same 16 people.  Springboro, Ohio isn’t exactly a hip town with lots to do, so there weren’t many opportunities to meet other people.  I got to go for a long walk around the city with one of my best friends today (which was exactly what I needed) and I kept seeing the faces of my cast.  It’s so strange.

There are parts of the show that I am going to miss, my dances and the people.  There are obviously things that I will not miss as well, but the bad things have already started fading from my memory.

The best thing about coming home is coming back to my bf.  I was on a 6 am flight from Ohio (picked up at the theatre around 3:45) and landed in New York around 8.  I had all day in the city, which feels odd, but he wasn’t here!  He’s upstate with some of his friends and gets back tomorrow!  But it’s odd to come home with him not here.

The last 24 hours also played quite a number on my system.  I started feeling sick to my stomach around midnight as I was trying to go to sleep and never managed to turn off for long enough to sleep.  I slept for 2 hours on the plane, got to my apartment and still couldn’t sleep.  After meeting up with my friend and taking about a 3 hour trip around the city I fell asleep on his couch for 2 hours.  I better get a good sleep tonight.

I’m currently watching an episode of Golden Girls, which I never watched before Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  It’s always so sad when something ends, scary when another begins.  Well I’m off to my next adventure…
